Lovelace Biomedical Wins 10M to Combat Opioid Overdose

Research_FacilityUncategorized

Lovelace Biomedical has recently received 3 new grants and contracts worth over 10 million granted by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to research and study treatments and cures against opiate-induced respiratory depression. We’re working with the NIH and other biomedical research laboratories to help develop and evaluate novel treatments to help mitigate this devastating public health problem.

After the recent FDA-approved opioid overdose drug, Opvee was recently approved, we’re hopeful as we continue to research that we’ll find cures for not only opioid overdose treatments, but also for the lasting effects caused by opiate-induced respiratory depression.
