The Willi Stahlhofen Award is given to a high impact manuscript in the Journal of Aerosol Medicine and Pulmonary Drug Delivery and is presented at the ISAM Congress which was held in Aug 2023 in Saarbrucken Germany. The winner of the 2023 Willi Stahlhofen award was a manuscript with Lovelace Biomedical’s Scientist Conor Ruzycki as a co-author (https://www.liebertpub.com/doi/10.1089/jamp.2021.0002). This work was performed while Conor was a PhD candidate at the University of Alberta and was a unique merger of aerosol science and engineering to evaluate respirator and mask performance. These results had a direct impact on the utilization of masks during the recent COVID-19 pandemic. Join us as we celebrate Conor and the team’s work and their recognition by ISAM.
