In the News: Lovelace’s Director of Scientific Labs, Philip Kuehl works with Collaboration for Tuberculosis Vaccine Discovery
The Collaboration for TB Vaccine Discovery (CTVD, https://www.ctvd.co/Pages/default.aspx) is an international network of scientists working collaboratively within TB vaccine discovery. Funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the CTVD works to bring together scientific experts and collaborating institutions to support development of vaccines for TB. Within this community, Lovelace Biomedical’s parent organization (Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute) remains a member institution, (https://www.ctvd.co/Pages/MemberInstitutions.aspx) and is represented by Senior Scientist Philip Kuehl within the Aerosol & Mucosal Vaccination Community (https://www.ctvd.co/Pages/Aerosol-Vaccination-Community.aspx). In this role, Dr. Kuehl serves to work with the international development, and characterization of vaccine strategies for TB. A recent example of this work will be published at ISAM 2019 (https://www.isam.org/congress).
